The Ministry and ITD Hungary intends to provide professional help to local governments on how they can make their cities more attractive for local and international investors.

The participating local administrations will receive assistance to prepare investment promotion strategies. An on-line database will also be established to make site selection and decision making easier.

The three month program will conclude in April 2009.

ITD Hungary helps local adiminstrations in several ways in their investment promotion activities. A recently published ‘Investment Promotion Manual’ gives practical advice on how to deal with investors and conduct business meetings. The CityInvest series launched in March 2006 offers a forum to cities to present their investment opportunities, specific investment locations and projects.
